Yoga for Stress Relief: Poses and Techniques

Stress has become a common part of modern life, affecting both mental and physical well-being. Yoga offers a natural and effective way to manage stress by combining gentle movements, controlled breathing, and mindfulness practices. Regular yoga practice helps calm the nervous system, relax the body, and bring mental clarity.

Certain yoga poses are especially helpful for releasing tension and promoting relaxation. Poses such as Child’s Pose (Balasana), Cat-Cow Stretch, Standing Forward Bend, and Legs-Up-The-Wall Pose help stretch tight muscles, improve blood circulation, and reduce stress stored in the body. Breathing techniques also play a key role in stress relief. Practices like deep diaphragmatic breathing and alternate nostril breathing (Nadi Shodhana) help slow down the heart rate, reduce anxiety, and improve focus.
